What is your equestrian mission? Your destiny? Your life's purpose?

"Every one of us, unconsciously, works out a personal philosophy of life, by which we are guided, inspired, and corrected, as time goes on. It is this philosophy by which we measure out our days, and by which we advertise to all about us the man, or woman, that we are..." George Matthew Adams

Are you still waiting for a sign from the heavens to figure out what your equestrian mission is in life?

Are you hoping that a loud booming voice from above will tell you exactly what to do, where to go, what to focus on? If only it were that easy.

There is nothing wrong with believing in a pre-destined life purpose, but it does tend to keep you feeling powerless and unmotivated if you can’t determine what it should be. Not only is the uncertainty annoying, there is also the fear that you might get hold of the wrong end of the stick.

Whether you’re more comfortable thinking you have a distinct destiny to fulfill or you think of it in terms of having the free will to choose your own route, be proactive and choose your own life mission. Think about it this way: your life purpose will be something that makes you feel passionate and fulfilled. And if you are a horse lover, it is likely to have something to do with horses. A personal mission statement is designed that way on purpose – so you “know” what you’re supposed to be doing!

Your purpose is to do that which is most aligned with who you are, horse rider, horse lover or horse owner, and uses your natural talents and abilities to their fullest extent. Only you can say what that is exactly, and you may not have a clue right now.

So start figuring it out!

If you already know what makes you feel inspired and purposeful, so do it more often. Find a way to share it with others. If you don’t know what your passions are, find out. Try new things and see if any of them resonate with you. The activities themselves don’t really matter except that they should make you feel wonderful and provide some kind of benefit for the world around you.

Think about your existing talents, skills and passions, constantly work on developing new ones – and find a way to share them with others. Then, no matter what else you do, you are definitely fulfilling a grand purpose here on earth. Is it “your” purpose?

It is if you choose it to be!

"One of the commonest mistakes is thinking that success is due to some genius, some unique talent — something or other which we do not possess. Success is generally due to holding on, and not giving up. You decide to learn a new riding skill, study a new book, take a horse massage course or take up yoga for equestrians.

"ill it be success or failure? It depends upon how much determination and perseverance that word “decide” contains. Only the decision that nothing can overrule will bring success."Maltbie Davenport Babcock

Affirmations have long been recognized as a powerful tool in manifesting desires. The subconscious mind cannot differentiate between reality and suggestion. Therefore, it asumes suggestions (or affirmations) are real -- and goes about using its powerful creative ability -- and that of the whole nervous system -- to actualize those affirmations.

For this reason, people from all walks of life -- from sport coaches, to sales professionals and peak performance experts (like Anthony Robbins) promote the use of affirmations.

Affirmations are powerful and empowering. Imagine multiplying the power of affirmations exponentially...How is that possible, you ask?
